About Us
The Snohomish EMS Alliance is a volunteer, non-profit 501(C)(3) organization formed in 2017. SEMSA began as a study group in our co-founder Colin Nash’s basement in Kirkland and has since grown to help and mentor hundreds of EMS students. SEMSA meets twice a week in Everett to provide free training for aspiring EMS professionals. As we continue to evolve, we plan to provide additional support and learning opportunities to EMS/fire professionals beginning their careers. One of our greatest accomplishments is that SEMSA’s instructor core is comprised entirely of former SEMSA students who return to teach because they love what they do and want to build a stronger EMS/fire community by helping others.
Our Mission
Our mission here at SEMSA is to continue providing opportunities and information for EMS students to improve their skills and enhance their education, at no cost to them. We want to instill a sense of community within our students. All we ask in return is that everyone bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. By providing these resources, we hope that our students will go on to become strong, positive role models and continue to uphold SEMSA’s vision throughout their careers. We believe that it is our responsibility to leave the EMS/fire profession better than we found it.
Our Values
We pride ourselves on having a team that fully embodies the values of the EMS/fire service, and it is our goal to pass that passion and work ethic to every student we encounter. We believe in serving the public and giving them our best, whether it be on or off duty. Through our teaching we hope to inspire hard work, positivity, passion, and drive.
